Crank: High Voltage

The second Crank movie, and it's awesome to the max.

I tought I've known what insane and random is when I saw Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, but this is even more random. When I first heard that the plot is - that this time the main character has his heart removed, and has to charge himself from time to time, or he dies - I tought it's stupid. But no. In this content this is probably the most sane thing that happened in this movie. So this time the comedy part dominates over the action, but don't worry it still has A LOT and a bit of gore, and a lot of nudity. I'm looking forward to the next Crank movie because I just don't know how can they continue the story (if they ever do it).
Will I watch it again? DEFINITELY.

The Quick and the Dead

A quickdraw 101.

If you have seen any western movie, you know what a quick draw is. Two people face eachother on the streets of the town and draw guns, the faster wins. Why not make a movie about a quickdraw championship?
The movie features huge names: Sharon Stone, Gene Hackman, Russel Crowe, Leonardo DiCaprio. It even has Gary Sinise in it. But desipe the great actors, it's not a really good movie. The story is a bit shallow, the filming tries to be like in the classic movies (close eye shots n stuff) but still it's not like that. Well after watching it I saw something interesting in the cast list.. Bruce Campbell?? Holy crap how did I miss him? Where was he? Who is the wedding shamp? Well, I found that the scene was deleted that he was in. He has 1 line in the movie but no screen time, only a sound from the crowd... What a shame, he is the best.
Will I watch it again? I wanna see the deleted scenes with Bruce Campbell :)

Crank

Why haven't I heard from this one before?

THIS is what an actionfilm should be like. The plot is that a professional killer is injected with some chinese syntetic shit and he has to keep running an the adrenaline to flow becuse otherwise his heart will stop and he'll die. So he decides to kill the ones who did this to him. It's a movie full of action an humor. It's not a 'must watch', but if you've got nothing better to do, rent it, make a lot of popcorn and enjoy the movie, I'm sure you will.
Will I watch it again? Maybe.

Gamer

Have I seen this one before? No, but it reminds me of other movies.

Have you seen The running man and Avalon? This film is like those 2 mixed together with a bit of gore, a lot of seminaked women and even more action. Was it good? Watchable, but really nothing special. The story was so unoriginal it made me cry. The first half of the movie was ok though. What else can I say? If you've got nothing better to do, watch it. But don't expect much from it.
Will I watch it again? No.

Zoom

Tim Allen, Chevy Chase, Courteney Cox in one movie?

And it still fails. A bit like Fantastic Four, a bit like Watchmen, a bit like X-Men all in a comedy that is not actually funny. The whole plot makes no sence at all. It's totally random. There should be character development according to the script but there is none. It tells a story of 1 week I think, but by the end of the 2nd day the characters act like they've been on that base for at least a month. I don't say it's unwatchable, but it's not worth the time. Watch something better instead, like the 2 movies mentioned above, all of those are watchable ;)
Will I watch it again? Certainly NOT.

Up

Probably the best Pixar movie ever.

Up has a surprisingly original story even if the parts with the house flying reminded me of Zathura. Bottom line is, I liked it. Good visual effects good everything.
Will I watch it again? If i have a chance to see it in 3D, I will.

Zombieland

A horror comedy from 2009.

Oh man. I love zombie movies. I really do. The story starts with a geek saying his rules that he follows. These rules kept him alive after the outbreak. Later he meets a redneck and gets on his ride. That's how the story starts and that is where I shut up since I don't want to spoil it. If you love zombie moveis this is a must watch. If you don't, it's still an awesome movie that i recommend to everyone. Well, anyone that is allowed to watch R rated movies ;)
Will I watch it again? YES. Probably soon. Than later. Than sometimes after that... And I'll buy the DVD after that.

Race to Witch Mountain

And another disney movie. Just finished it a few hours ago.

It's like E.T. on steroids, in a good way. I totally loved every minute of it. Great fun for every age imho. Another huge plus piont for the casting.
Will I watch it again? Probably.

The Thirteenth Year

Saw it on Disney channel..

It's a movie about a boy who turns 13 and also turns into a fish. Well not exactly. A mermaid... Errr... Mermale.. Or whatever. It's a good movie if you have a child/sibling around the age of 13, but if you don't it's not the movie you are looking to spend 95 minutes on. Anyways, the story is average, the filming is average, the acting is average.. Nothing special, maybe the fact that it's a boy mermaid..
Will I watch it again? Not until I have a child of my own that turns 13.

Transporter 3

Missed one day. So today I'm gonna rate 2 movies.

Transporter 3 is a movie that everyone should avoid. It's so crap it's almost unwatchable. Jason Statham is still cool, but still not a good actor. The movie lacks fighting and chase scenes, and this is what it should be about... And the part with the lake.... Spoiler alert! But since you are not going to watch the movie I can "spoil it". So the thing is, if a car is sink in a lake it goes down to it's bottom, but if you let out the air from the tires into a balloon or some shit that is tied to the car, it suddenly starts to rise. WHAT THE FUCK? this pretty much ruined the already horrible movie.
Will I watch it again? No way.

Julie & Julia

This film tells 2 stories. One is about a woman who starts to write a blog about she cooking from the book that the other women wrote 40 years earlier.
So she challanges herself to cook all the food in the book (542 if I remember it correctly) in only a year.
A friend of mine told me I watch so many movies i shoud write a blog about 'em. And this film gave me that final push on what to do. I'm gonna challange myself to rate 542 (or more) movies in 365 days. Since I know I can't watch that many with all the series I'm watching and of course the IRL stuff like work n stuff. (atm I'm still unemployed though)

But that's more than enugh for the intro, now time to talk 'bout the movie in a few words and rating it.

SO: it's a cooking movie. seriously, it' s about cooking. Maryl Streep is acting as good as always. Amy Adams is someone I'm not familiar with but she is also doing well. The directing is good etc. etc.
It's a fun move. I really enjoyed it. The only negative thing is I found it a bit long for this topic (123 minutes).. But it's two stories not just one, so it's ok. Will I watch it again? No. Only if my girlfried makes me do it :)

Final words.. I have a dream, that some people will actually read this blog... But if not, I still want to know how many did I watch in my life so far or will do. Also, sorry if my english is not correct all the time. My native language is NOT english.. so why do I write in this language and not hungarian? Simply becuse I'm not writing for only hungarians.
