If it wasn't a Tarantio movie people would hate it without exceptions.
But it is, and that is why this movie is SO OVERRATED. If you don't know what hype is, this movie is. It is NOT a good film. First of all, it has almost nothing to do with the 'Inglorious Basterds'. It had some good parts yes, but in general, it was boring as hell and stupid. Just becuse Tarantino directed it that doesn't mean it is a good movie. Brad Pitt I like, but here... He had a bad accent, and didn't feel his character, but that is not his fault. He did his best, but his character was so poorly written this was the best he could do with it. There was only 1 real character in the movie the nazi played by Cristoph Waltz, the rest were faces and names, nothing else. Most of the movie was in german and french, it was really good to hear languages spoken that well in an american movie, but that doesn't make it good. And just becuse The Dirty Dozen was a good movie this ripoff is NOT. Plus it has nothing to do with history, but that's not a bad thing in itself, but if you make a movie that has some real names like Hitler in it, it should have at least some connection to reality. I highly recommend to skip this movie or if you decide to watch it anyhow become a hardcore Tarantino fan or just have more popcorn than expectation. BTW after seeing that this movie is in the top 100 on IMDb I guess if Tarantino did a movie that had nothing but a stinking piece of shit shown for 120 minutes, most people would call it art and it would become a blockbuster on the first week.....
IMDb rating: 8.5 (Top 250 #64)
My rating: 1 (without Christoph Waltz it woould be a 0)
